Ukhozi FM’s Maskandi Show host Zamaweza “Zuluglamour” MaMthalane passed away at 35
|The Maskandi community and South African radio world are in mourning following the untimely death of Zamaweza MaMthalane, affectionately known as Zuluglamour, who passed away at the young age of 35.
The talented Ukhozi FM presenter and beloved Maskandi Show anchor reportedly succumbed to complications related to meningitis after a brief illness. According to her brother, Sphiwe Mthalane, Zamaweza had been suffering from persistent headaches for about two weeks before her health took a drastic turn. She sadly passed away at Dr Pixley KaSeme Memorial Hospital in KwaMashu, where she was undergoing treatment after the diagnosis.
Zuluglamour rose to prominence in 2024 when she was appointed the new host of the highly popular Ukhozi FM Maskandi Show, a key platform for Maskandi musicians and fans alike. She took over after the dismissal of former host King Zoso, and quickly made the show her own with a unique blend of humor, warmth, and precision.
